Discovering me: Employability for Parents

This workshop has been designed specifically for parents who are unemployed and in need of confidence and support to find the right type of work.

Parents face specific barriers to finding and staying in work. This workshop will empower attendees and increase their chances of success in finding work that suits their unique circumstances as well as helping them to achieve work-life balance.

What attendees will learn

Attendees will learn to:

identify and work towards employment goals
identify major barriers to employment experienced by parents and explore possible solutions
learn how to access childcare, financial support for childcare and childcare for school-age children.
learn tips on managing personal finances and household costs, including childcare
learn to develop a CV and cover letter, complete job applications and prepare for interview
learn strategies to achieve work-life balance and manage stress
