Wants to engage people about the environment.
Hi! My name is Gabrielle. I am really interested in volunteering and helping people. At the moment I am studying for my A Levels and enjoy learning about our natural world, including our current climate.
I believe that reaching out to the younger generation can lead to more awareness about issues within our local communities that can then lead to changes in the wider world. I care greatly about the environment and feel that the younger generation are not fully aware about the future risks that come with climate change.
Believes in the importance of friendships.
Hi! my name is Montana and I’m a Youth Champion. I feel very passionate about helping the people around me. As an only child, I focus a lot of my time and energy on building friendships. Fortunately, I have great friends who encourage me and have set me on the right path, but there are young people out there that fall into the wrong crowd and surround themselves with negative influences. I care about helping my peers find an environment that is positive for young people to thrive in and building long-lasting friendships with other young people that share the same positive outlooks on life. This is why I became a Youth Champion for the Thrive Youth Forum, because I believe that the actions we take will make all the difference to better people's lives!

I have changed for the better.
Hi, my name is Success Morrison. I joined Level 1 to develop my communication skills, specifically in an interview circumstance. I understood that communication is essential during interviews, as they are short moments that challenge individuals to convince their interviewers that they are the best pick for a role. Before I joined Level 1, I lacked a lot of self-esteem, which impacted the way I communicated with different people. During the Level 1 project, I was introduced to a range of interview scenarios where I worked with senior individuals who guided me on how to answer and ask questions during an interview. I learned to focus on my eye contact, as it displayed high levels of respect and conviction. Additionally, after my responses, I received exemplar responses that strengthened my own responses and served as a foundation for my future interview endeavors. Not only that, but the Level 1 project enabled me to create a CV from scratch! I was provided with different examples, where seniors supported in my understanding of the different positive and negative traits that could be included in a CV. Once I had a high-level understanding, I was guided into creating my own. With work experiences I have personally undertaken, I was able to add to the CV I created during the project. This very CV played a huge part in my success of getting accepted into an apprenticeship at a company. As I mentioned earlier, before the project, I lacked confidence and proper communication, however, after the great support and teachings I received, I have changed for the better.
Thanks to Bianca and the wider team!
